A man rescued by good samaritans last Friday night after his Jeep flipped upside down into a creek off Highway 6 and Briarcrest Drive, has been released from the hospital.

The driver, 21-year-old Alston Trbula, was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital and remained in critical but stable condition throughout the weekend.

Bryan Police say Trbula was under water for nearly five minutes while several volunteers, including the driver of the truck he hit, worked to free him until emergency responders arrived.

Trbula's Jeep flipped off the road when he rear-ended a pickup.
