BURLESON COUNTY- It was a scary moment for a driver after he fell asleep at the wheel and his truck drove off of Highway 21 and landed in a dry creek bed.
Burleson County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 11:30 Saturday night near County Road 212. The 47-year-old driver was coming from San Antonio and driving to Palestine when he fell asleep.
A Sheriff's deputy on the scene said the driver was lucky to be alive. He was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan where he was treated for minor injuries.
