COLLEGE STATION – An accused drunk driver apparently had so much to drink that he thought he was on the opposite side of town.
College Station police stopped Bob Green at 3:09 a.m. Saturday for making an improper lane change. He told the officer he spent the past three hours drinking at Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant on University Drive. Then he changed his story and said he stopped drinking at midnight.
When police asked Green where he was headed, he told them his apartment on Plainsman Lane in Bryan. Since Green was headed in the wrong direction, the officer then asked where he thought he was. Green said he was at the Walmart in Bryan. He was actually in the parking lot of the Walmart in College Station.
Green was charged with DWI 2nd. He was convicted of DWI in 2009.
