GALVESTON, Texas A driver whose car that plowed into a horse-drawn carriage, killing one person and injuring three others last year in Galveston, is taking a 15-year prison term in a plea deal.

Galveston County District Attorney Bill Reed says 22-year-old Michael Shane Grayson, Jr., of Conroe, pleaded Friday to an intoxication manslaughter charge and three counts of intoxication assault.

Reed tells the Galveston County Daily News Grayson's blood-alcohol measured 0.242 percent after the July 2012 wreck. That's three times the legal limit.

A 57-year-old Sugar Land man, Bobby McKelvey, was killed in the collision. His wife was among the injured as the carriage was hit while headed to a Galveston Seawall Boulvevard hotel.

At the time, Grayson was out on bond for a DUI offense in Montgomery County.
