The Bryan-College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau says about a thousand Episcopal clergy, delegates and various participants will converge on local churches hosting the 163rd Episcopal Council, which begins February 10 at the Brazos County Expo.

It's an annual business meeting of the Diocese of Texas, which includes 155 congregations.

"We'll have vendors. We'll have exhibits," said Sean Cox with St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. "There will also be a business meeting, but mostly, it's an opportunity for people to come together in fellowship and really enjoy this beautiful place we call Aggieland."

The Opening Eucharist will be held on February 10 starting at 6:30 p.m. The community is invited.

The Rt. Rev. Griselda Delgado Del Carpio, Bishop of Cuba, will be at the council, which will be presided over by the Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle, the Ninth Bishop of Texas.
