HOUSTON -- Houston Police say they have found the body of the 17-year old Vy Bao-Pham who disappeared on Monday from her southeast Houston apartment complex.
Her ex-boyfriend Luan Vu drew police a map of the location and led them to her body in Sims Bayou.
"He confessed to killing Vy and then led us to where he had put her body," said Detective Fil Waters.
Vu was upset that she had a new boyfriend, according to a friend.
“They had matching tattoos on opposing shoulders of a compass, and he told her that he would be able to find her wherever she went,” said Waters.
Vu asked her about the new boyfriend, beat her unconscious, killed her then dumped the body in the bayou.
He admitted he was going to confess on Tuesday, but reportedly told police “they were good” and wanted to “put them to the test.”
“We are happy to say that we validated everything that he had heard,” said Waters.
Vu is in jail and charged with capital murder.
