Two Dead in Early Morning Hwy 6 Wreck

Update: We now know the names of two people that died in a car accident Wednesday morning near the Brazos-Robertson County line.

According to the Department of Public Safety a black, BMW SUV driven by 37-year-old Hilari Tayrien of Houston was headed north on Highway 6 near OSR.

She reportedly swerved into the southbound lanes and collided with a pick-up driven by 46-year-old Darryl Young of Bryan.

Tayrien died at the scene, while Young died at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.

It's unknown what caused Tayrien to cross over into oncoming traffic.

Officials are investigating a fatal accident at Highway 6 and OSR near the Brazos-Robertson County Line.

Both the north and southbound lanes of the road were re-opened.

According to DPS, a red pickup was heading south on Highway 6 around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday when a Black BMW SUV traveling north swerved into the southbound lanes and collided with the truck.

We're told that the driver of the SUV, a Houston woman in her 40s, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the truck, a Bryan man in his 40s, was taken to St. Joseph Health System and is in critical condition.
