A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Lee county through 5am Saturday. A few areas of rain and thunderstorms could still be possible through the overnight hours. While most of this should remain below severe levels, a few storms (if they can redevelop) could brings gusty winds, heavy rain, thunder, & lightning. Overall threat is diminishing through 3am.
COLLEGE STATION *Update*On Wednesday night around 11:45 PM College Station Police responded to an accident near the 17000 blk of Highway 6 South, approximately 3/4th of a mile south of William D Fitch Parkway.
Initial investigation revealed that a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner was southbound on the west frontage road and left the roadway to the west, came back onto the roadway and then left the roadway to the east and then rolled at least one time.
Blake Allen, the 17 year old male driver was transported to the College Station Medical Center where he was treated for non-incapacitating injuries. Sydney Jeter, the 16 year old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation continues by the Accident Reconstruction Unit and the Criminal Investigations Division of the College Station Police Department.
A prayer Vigil for the two teens will be held Thursday night at Tigerland Stadium at 8p.m.
College Station Police say they will be performing an accident reconstruction from 6:30p.m. to 9:30a.m. on Friday.
