The Fiestas Patrias Cultural Event began Saturday night in downtown Bryan.

The event was held at the Palace Theater and can bring in nearly 25,000 people to the Historical Downtown Bryan District. The event hopes to educate the public on the rich history of the hispanic culture.

It's all done through history lectures, giving away scholarships and showing off the many traditions traditions the culture has. The Festival and Parade will begin Sunday at noon.
