ROBERTSON COUNTY - Firefighters responded to a house fire in Hearne Sunday evening.
The first calls for help came in the 9:00 p.m. hour. Crews rushed to the 4400 block of Winding Road, which is off of FM 391.
According to the Hearne Volunteer Fire Department, the structure was fully engulfed when they arrived on scene.
Larger trucks had to be held back because there was apparently a wooden bridge on the road back to the house that firefighters didn't think would hold under the trucks' weight.
Firefighters tell News 3 the only occupant in the house made it out safely.
Fire crews also protected a dog kennel near the home.
No injuries were reported.
A cause is unknown at this time.
