ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas Several volunteer fire departments rushed to the scene of a house fire near Hearne Thursday night.
The fire started around 7:00 Thursday at a home in the 10300 block of Old Hearne Road, just south of Hearne.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion before flames engulfed
The family was able to get out in time. Unfortunately, they were forced to watch helplessly as the second floor collapsed. Their house eventually burned to the ground.
The home was in a heavily wooded area and the fire spread to neighboring property. But firefighters put out those flames before they could do any more damage.
No injuries have been reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
