The B/CS community has gone above and beyond to support the men and women of the Bryan Fire Department after the fatal fire at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bryan.
"I can't keep a cell phone battery charged long enough to get all the supporting texts and phone calls from so many people across the state, across the region here, and even nation. Folks I don't even know,” said Bryan Fire Chief Randy McGregor.
But a few days after Valentine's Day, firefighters at Bryan Fire Station Five were hand-delivered a stack of extra special love letters from their neighbors down the street.
A first grade class from Mary Branch Elementary school walked over to Fire Station Five Monday morning to tell the firefighters thank you, each in their own way.
The kids even left some chocolate hugs and kisses behind, to help the men get through the tough days ahead.
