COLLEGE STATION - Some Bryan-College Station Firefighters and law enforcement officers took on new roles this afternoon for a great cause.

They staffed the drive-thru windows at area McDonald's restaurants today benefiting the 100 Club of the Brazos Valley for the second year in a row.

McDonald's says they are proud to give back to the community.

"It's kind of personal because Bryan-College Station suffered some tragedies in the last couple of years and lost a few of our first responders, so it's wonderful that we can give back to those that have given their lives for us," said Jeanie Smith, who owns several McDonald' s restaurants.

Fifteen percent of the proceeds went to the 100 Club of the Brazos Valley. Last year, McDonald's presented a check for four thousand dollars to the 100 Club.
