KILLEEN, Texas (AP) A Central Texas driver involved in a hit-and-run accident has died after his fleeing vehicle smashed into a house and knocked a gaping hole in the residence.
Killeen police say the wreck Tuesday night killed 31-year-old Roy Lee Brown of Killeen. Police say nobody in the home was hurt.
Investigators say the SUV was in an earlier accident, drove off at a high rate of speed and then the vehicle hit a light pole and careened into the house. Police say Brown died at the scene.
Nobody in the initial wreck was hurt.
