Former Bryan Police Chief Relieved of Duty in Freeport

Former City of Bryan Police Chief Tyrone Morrow has been relieved of his police chief duties in Freeport, but for now, he'll continue to receive full pay and benefits.

Morrow's been Freeport's chief since February 2010 and according to the town's city manager, he's been the subject of an outside investigation.

City officials say inquiries were made after allegations against Morrow were made by fellow members of the department, but the specifics regarding those accusations aren't being made public.

After leaving the City of Bryan, Morrow was the dean of academic studies for the Texas A&M Systems Security Asset/Law Enforcement Training Program for the United Arab Emirates.
