Former Kent Moore Cabinets Employees Accused of Stealing Materials

Several former employees at Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan no longer have a job after they were accused of stealing materials from their facility and then using them on someone else's job site.

Now one of them has an arrest warrant out for theft.

News 3 looked into how the suspected thefts happened.

Kent Moore Cabinets recently terminated several employees after reporting thefts on November 14th.

Teresa Galliher is a Vice President for the company and tells News 3 cabinet materials were stolen by what were current employees as well as a former one.

"It was some items stolen from our premises and taken to a job site and then cabinets were being made on the job site out of our materials," said Teresa Galliher.

Three arrest warrants have been issued for one of those former employees who faces misdemeanor theft charges for stealing around $1,000 worth of items.

An unnamed source familiar with the case tells us that man is Jesse Castillo, who was an employee at the time of the incident.

"I can only tell you that there's a former employee involved and the employees in our company that were involved no longer work for our company, and forced us to have terminations," said Teresa Galliher.

Last month police investigated a property on Bittle Lane in Bryan and recovered some of the stolen items.

"It does happen from time to time when we come across an employee who has been stealing from a company, and it can go unnoticed for a while until you know there's a deficit," said Officer Kelley McKethan, with the Bryan Police Department.

"Our company will prosecute and to the fullest extent of the law," said Galliher.

It's not being released at this time how many workers were part of the theft or the full amount of stolen items.

Bryan Police are working to make an arrest and tell us so far only one ex-employee is facing charges.

Kent Moore Cabinets has more than 500 workers and is one of the largest employers in the area.
