Four Sentenced for Robbing Traveling Jeweler in College Station

Two more people have been sentenced to Federal prison time for a jewelry heist in College Station in August of 2011.

30-year-old Ivan Carvajal was sentenced to more than 11 years, and 25-year-old Tito Vargas was sentenced to nearly 5 years by a Federal judge in Houston. They're both from Houston.

That's for their part in the armed robbery of a traveling jewelry salesman in the 1400 block of University Drive in College Station on August 25th of 2011.

Investigators have said there were multiple vehicles and multiple people involved in the robbery of $200,000 in jewelry from the salesman at gunpoint.

22-year-old Luis Flores of Houston and 32-year-old Maria Guitierrez of Atlanta, Georgia had already been sentenced to 5 years in prison.

The F-B-I is looking for a 5th suspect, 19-year-old Brayan Vargas of Bogota, Columbia, who had been arrested, but fled after being released on bond.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
