Fourth of July Celebrations Across the Brazos Valley

A number of events are taking place across the Brazos Valley to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Here is a list:

"I Love America" Celebration
WHERE - George Bush Presidential Library Center in College Station
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 5:00 pm - 10:15 pm
INFORMATION - The George Bush Presidential Library will be open from 9:30 am until 8:15 pm with free admission. Live entertainment, concessions, and games begin at 5:00 pm. There will also be a concert by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and fireworks.

Foxfire 7th Annual 4th of July Parade
WHERE - The Triangle in the Foxfire community in College Station
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 9:00 am
INFORMATION - Everyone is invited to watch a parade around the Triangle, as it circles the area three times for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Afterwards, refreshments will be served.

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
WHERE - Heritage Park, 600 Hutchins Street, Bryan, TX 77803
WHEN - July 4th, 2014
TIME - 9:30 am
INFORMATION - Hosted by the Brazos Heritage Society for the 28th year, this event includes a flag-raising ceremony, patriotic readings and music, a children's parade, games and activities, and refreshments. Participation by other non-profit organizations within Brazos County to provide additional activities and information is encouraged.

City of Navasota Parade and Independence Daze Celebration
WHERE - Parade starts at Prosperity Bank and ends at the Navasota Center where the rest of the celebration is
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - Parade begins at 10:00 am, Independence Daze celebration begins at 10:30 am
INFORMATION - Everybody is invited to line up for the parade and bring bikes, wagons, roller skates, skateboards, pets, and more. After the parade, there will be free carnival games, a joy jump, free food and drinks, music, games, and more. The Navasota Swimming Pool will also be open with free admission from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm.

Mt. Zion's Community Center's 61st Annual Free BBQ Celebration
WHERE - Mt. Zion's Community Center in Burleson County
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 1:00 pm
INFORMATION - Free BBQ and fun at the Mt. Zion's Community Center.

City of Huntsville 4th of July Celebration
WHERE - Kate Barr Ross Park in Huntsville
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 4:00 pm
INFORMATION - A wide range of family entertainment, including a rock wall, face painting, balloon art, moon-walks, karaoke, and food will be available. Fireworks start at dark, weather permitting. Get their early to reserve your spot for the fireworks!

Fourth of July in Downtown Bryan
WHERE - Downtown Bryan
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 6:00 pm
INFORMATION - This free event will be held at the Palace Theater in Downtown Bryan. Enjoy many live entertainment performances and a showing of Disney's The Incredibles. Free ice cream and soda will be provided.

15th Annual Fireworks on the Brazos July 4th Celebration
WHERE - Washington on the Brazos
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 10:00 am
INFORMATION - All park attractions open at 10:00 am. Free goodies will be offered in the afternoon. At 7:00 pm, there will be live music. Fireworks start at 9:15 pm.

Iola Community Center Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza
WHERE - 7264 Main Street, Iola, TX 77861
WHEN - July 4, 2014
TIME - 6:00 pm
INFORMATION - A free hot dog dinner with watermelon and Blue Bell ice cream will be provided. Stick around to play games until the fireworks at dark.
