Gabriel Hall Murder Trial Won't be Delayed

A judge has denied delaying the trial of a 20-year-old College Station man charged with killing a former Texas A&M professor.

Gabriel Hall is accused of killing Edwin Shaar in October 2011 and stabbing his wife Linda in what police say was a planned attack.

His defense attorneys had asked for the trial to be put off until January 2014 to give them more time to prepare their case.

Brazos County 272nd District Judge Travis Bryan III denied the motion.

Hall's capital murder trial is expected to begin in September. Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty.
