COLLEGE STATION A known gang member is in jail after police arrested say he had crack cocaine and prescription drugs in his car.
College Station officers on patrol ran 28-year-old Eric Allen Turner's license plate Sunday. According to the report, his insurance came back unconfirmed. The officer made a traffic stop in 400 block of First Street. Turner gave his name and date-of-birth to the officer, because he didn't have a driver's license. The officer stated that Turner's license had been suspended and that he had an active warrant out from the Texas Department of Pardon's and Parole.
According to the report, the warrant mentioned that Turner was a member of the "Bloods" gang and had violent tendencies. The officer called for backup and arrested Turner. While searching his car, he found a small bag that contained crack cocaine and 14 hydrocodone pills.
Turner was arrested and taken to the Brazos County Jail. He is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance - Group 1, Possession of a Controlled Substance - Group 3 and Parole Violation. His bond is set at $12,000.
