If you've got a warrant in the state of Texas, you'll want to get it taken care of soon.

On Friday, College Station Municipal Court Judge Ed Spillane along with members of local law enforcement announced that starting March 2nd, the Great Texas Warrant Roundup will begin.

You do have a chance to get those warrants taken care of before the round up begins.

That means if you have a warrant, police will be actively looking for you and you will be arrested.

Judge Spillane says the amnesty period before the warrant roundup is effective in getting those problems taken care of.

"We have about 4,000 outstanding warrants and typically during this period we will bring in 300 to 400 warrants. We will clear those warrants," said Judge Spillane.

This is the 10th year that Brazos County law enforcement have participated in the warrant roundup.
