Grimes County Brush Fire Burns Six Acres

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas Grimes County fire crews worked late into the night containing a brush fire that burned more than six acres.

Whitehall Fire Chief Freeman Vickers said his crew worked until 1 o'clock Thursday morning to contain a brush fire in the Stoneham area, between County Roads 302 & 304.

Firefighters from five area agencies responded to the blaze.

No one was injured and no buildings damaged.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
