Residents wanting to chime in on TEX-DOT's plan for an extension of Highway 249 can attend a meeting tonight.
It's being held by 3 groups opposed to the project, including the Grimes County Citizens Advisory Group.
The so-called "Aggie Highway" would be 14 miles long, connecting State Highway 105 east of Highway 6 to the 249 extension in Pinehurst.
Those against it say they don't see the benefits to the area, and want more answers from TX-DOT on why is has to be a toll road.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7 at the White Hall Community Center near Navasota.
