HOUSTON -- Several people, who were possibly being held against their will, were discovered Friday after a tip led Houston police to a home in northwest Houston.
Police received a call around 8:30 a.m. about people possibly being held hostage in a home in the 8600 block of White Castle. Upon their arrival, they were shocked by what they found inside.
Many of the victims they brought out of the house appeared to be suffering from malnutrition, and neighbors who came out to see what all the activity was about, said they couldn’t believe their eyes.
“Oh my God, it just touched my heart,” a woman said. “I mean, I just feel for them. I don’t know, it just really got me hurt.”
One man who says he lived inside the house did not want to answer many questions asked by KHOU 11 News.
“People were just back there laying down,” he explained.
Police are still trying to sort out the details, but one of them said that this case is going to be big.
