Students at Southwood Valley Elementary School in College Station were empowered with words of wisdom to combat what some of them might face from time to time, bullying.

Over 500 kidsat Southwood Valley Elementary school took home a special message about bully prevention.

Students were pumped and excited to get the ball rolling as they waited for the big surprise.

And what a surprise it was.

"I'm from the Bronx New York and where I'm from people never came to my school so anytime I have a chance to go to somebody else's school, I try to do the best job I can," said Browley Chisholm.

Browley Chisholm with the Harlem Globetrotters, also known as "Cheese," lit up the court showing off his special basketball skills while the kids 'cheesed' from ear to ear.

It was a job well done as "Cheese" had the students reciting a different type of ABC's to strike down bullying.

"A, stood for action that way you can act in case you see somebody bullying, being bullied and you can go tell an adult," said Skylar Ford, Southwood Valley student.

"B and C stood for bravery and compassion. Bravery stood for stand up for your dreams and don't let anything stand in your way," said Bianca Lasagna, Southwood Valley student.

And what's a day on the court without some basketball tricks. Students were in awe at all the fun tricks "Cheese" showed them.

"In this millennium bullying has enhanced because of social media and things have changed over time. It may turn out on a bad hand or a good hand, but it's good that I have a chance to neutralize it," said Chisolm.

" You can do whatever you want. You don't do what people tell you you can do and if you achieve your goals you'll be a good person," said Keshun Cooper.

Students were empowered with the message to set goals and combat bullying, one day at a time.

The Harlem Globetrotters have a show next Wednesday night at
7 pm at Texas A&M's Reed Arena.
