Head-On Crash Kills Conroe Man

Investigators say a man is dead after a two vehicle collision that happened just after 6:30 Saturday morning in Conroe.

According to the Conroe Police department, James Burk, 58, of Conroe was west bound on FM 3803 just west of FM 1484 when his Toyota pickup truck was hit head on by an oncoming Dodge truck.

Burk was killed instantly. The driver of the Dodge, Jessie Arellarjo, 22, was transported by helicopter to Hermann Hospital in Houston, where he is reportedly in stable condition.

Conroe Police assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Vehicular Crimes Unit in the investigation that closed FM 3083 until 11:30 a.m.

It is not known if alcohol or distracted driving were involved in the crash.
