A cold front will approach the Brazos Valley later today. Isolated areas of rain and thunderstorms could develop along and ahead of that front between mid-afternoon and early evening. Good news: rain & storm activity will be quick moving (1 hour or less). Bad news: a few severe thunderstorms are possible with large hail and strong, damaging winds being the main concern. A brief, isolated tornado threat cannot be ruled out, as well.
BRYAN - It's one of the most loved comic strips of all time and a live-action version of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and friends is coming to Bryan this weekend.
The musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is being performed by Bryan High School Students at First United Methodist Church in Downtown Bryan.
The cast of six includes the Peanuts gang of Snoopy, Schroeder, Woodstock, Charlie Brown and some familiar faces.
Extra money raised from the program will go towards a youth mission trip to Ireland next year.
The students have been rehearsing for the past three months.
"So these individual scenes could be as long as ten seconds or they might be more like a minute long and then there are larger songs that follow with them, but basically it's Charlie Brown's life one day. This is his life in one day," said Rev. David Henry, Music Minister at First United Methodist Church of Bryan.
The performances are happening Friday and Saturday night with dinner at 6 P.M. and the show starting at 7.
There is also a 12:30 meal and 1:30 P.M. matinee on Sunday, April 27th at First United Methodist Church in Bryan located at 506 East 28th Street.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and available at the church office or by calling (979) 779-1324.
