On Monday, October 8, 2012, beginning at 8:30am, the Texas Department of Transportation's (TxDOT) contractor will begin a series of lane closures on SH 6 at the Southwest Parkway location for the next four days.
The lane closures will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm and will progress in the following sequence:
Monday - SH 6 Southbound Right Lane
Tuesday - SH 6 Southbound Left Lane
Wednesday - SH 6 Northbound Left Lane
Thursday - SH 6 Northbound Right Lane
These lane closures will allow the contractor to install signal conduit across the Southwest Parkway Bridge for the new signals to be installed at the frontage road intersections.
This work is part of the $283 thousand dollar SH 6 Signal Project contracted to South Texas Illumination. The project is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2013.
