COLLEGE STATION, Texas A 21-year-old Texas A&M Student has come forward after he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed through a fence and hit the back patio of a rental home before fleeing the scene.
On Monday Patricia Lassiter showed us the damage at the rental home she owns on San Saba Circle and told us she didn't have the money to pay for the repairs.
Well the driver saw the story and showed up at her home Thursday to confess for what he had done.
"I am so grateful for KBTX and the story. Apparently it was passed around and the young fellow's friend showed it to him and because he saw the video he came forward and he told me he was not gonna come forward except he saw that video," said Patricia Lassiter.
The damage is estimated at about $3,700 and the Lassiters plan on filing a claim with the driver's insurance company.
The Lassiters did contact police, but it's unknown if they'll file charges against the driver for fleeing the scene of that accident.
The investigation is still ongoing.
