College Station police say they have identified a suspect in a hit and run pedestrian accident that happened Tuesday on University Drive.

Police say a pedestrian failed to use a crosswalk near the 700 block of University Drive and was hit by a vehicle just before 9 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with incapacitating injuries and received a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

No word on whether the driver has been arrested yet.
