UPDATE: Grimes County Sheriff's arrested 57-year-old James Allen Bundage over night in connection with the murder of his neighbor... 55-year-old Patrick McHale.

According to the Sheriff' office... Bundage was taken into custody not far from the original crime scene.

Grimes County authorities are looking for a murder suspect who allegedly shot and killed his neighbor near Plantersville.

According to Sheriff Don Sowell, Patrick McHale called 9-1-1.

"The 911 call came in from the individual that was shot. The individual that called in was talking about the suspect James saying 'we can settle this, we can settle this,' and then the call went off,” said Sheriff Sowell.

When authorities arrived, they say they found the 55-year-old dead. Sowell says it happened on County Road 359, which is just west of Plantersville and off of County Road 304.

Investigators believe McHale's neighbor, James Allen Bundage, is the shooter. Sowell says the two have a history of disputes, and in this case, the two were fighting over a fence line separating their two properties.

Bundage, 57, was last seen driving a black 2010 Toyota Corolla. The only physical description for him is that he is black. His family in Houston has been contacted.

According to a Facebook listing for a James Bundage from Navasota, the man is a retired mechanic who worked for the City of Houston from 1979 until 2002. He lists time working at Houston PD in maintenance, at Hobby Airport and in communications.
