HOUSTON (AP) Houston police say three children have been found unharmed after their parents died in an apparent murder-suicide at the family's home.

Police say the couple's 7-year-old daughter ran to a neighbor's place early Thursday to report hearing gunfire.

Police located the bodies of a man and woman in an upstairs bedroom. Police say the older girl plus her siblings, ages 6 and 1, were in the home at the time of the gunfire but were taken in by the neighbor who called for help.

Authorities believe the husband shot his wife, then took his own life.

Names of the couple weren't immediately released.
