HOUSTON – Multiple charges have been filed against a former Atascocita High School tennis coach accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Taylor Lee McClain, 43, was charged with sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography.

McClain, his 16-year-old victim and another 15-year-old student were all riding together after leaving a tennis fundraiser at a country club on October 20. McClain was taking the girls to Phobia Haunted House.

Humble ISD police said McClain and the 16-year-old, who were both drinking Smirnoff Ice, began to have inappropriate sexual contact in the front seat on the way to the haunted house.

Before they left the place, McClain texted the 15-year-old and asked if she wanted to join them in a threesome. She replied “No,” according to court documents.

On the way home McClain pulled the vehicle over and told the 15-year-old to get behind the wheel. He had her drive around the neighborhood while he and the other teen allegedly had sex in the back seat.

McClain eventually dropped the girls off around 12:30 a.m.
McClain and the 16-year-old exchanged text messages later expressing disappointment over the other teen not engaging in a threesome with them, investigators said.

“I know she doesn’t know what she’s missing. You really know how to please a woman,” the teen’s text message read. A screen shot of that message was turned over to investigators.

Authorities say McClain and his victim sent nude photographs of themselves to each other.

Investigators took possession of McClain’s mobile phone on November 6. They found at least 20 sexually graphic images of the victim on his phone.

That same day, school officials placed the coach on administrative leave after learning of the allegations. The coach stepped down from his position a few days later.

His bail was set at $30,000.
