COLLEGE STATION, TX -- While thousands of people locally and across the state and country gathered to memorialize the life and death of the two Bryan Firefighters who died in Friday’s fire, hundreds gathered at the College Station Hilton Wednesday to help Habitat for Humanity.

A fundraising breakfast was held to help fund an organization that not only helps people afford homes, but helps change their lives forever.

One of the largest donors was the Davis and Davis Law Firm. They chose a special time to give a special donation.

“To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the firm we are going to give $50,000 this year to the various charities and we thought Habitat would be a good place to start.” said Fred Davis, Habitat Donor.

Attorney Fred Davis says his father played a big role in Habitat for Humanity years ago and was insistent that his son continue giving physically and financially to the organization.
