Hyatt Buys Austin's Historic Driskill Hotel

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Hyatt is paying about $85 million to take over a hotel that's been a downtown Austin fixture since 1886.

The company announced yesterday that it has acquired the 189-room Driskill Hotel. It's expected to undergo a two-year renovation costing about $8 million.
