UPDATE: Interstate 45 has reopened in Leon County after an early morning accident.
Officials say the accident happened around 6:15 Wednesday morning between an 18 wheeler and a pick up truck.

Nearly all of Interstate 45 between US 79 and SH 164 is shut down in Leon County due to an accident.
Northbound traffic is being detoured to US 79 and SH 164 and southbound traffic is down to one lane.
Emergency personnel are on scene at this time.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully in foggy weather.
