Federal officials say a 41-year-old inmate has escaped from the minimum-security prison camp in Pollock, La.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons says Roland Castro disappear Thursday evening around 7:30.
Castro was sentenced on January 21, 2000, in the Southern District of Texas to 20 years in prison for felon in possession of a firearm. He was scheduled for release on June 27, 2017.
The prison camp, in Grant Parish, houses about 250 minimum-security offenders. It's located about 15 miles north of Alexandria.
