A man was arrested in Bryan for driving under the influence without a drivers license.
Police noticed a grey Toyota Camry travelling southbound at the 1900 block of South College Avenue. Authorities said driver Gabriel Rios-Rivera, 22 was in the center turn lane, but was not passing another vehicle, nor prepared to make a left turn. Rios-Rivera continued to drive in the center lane, even after police activated their sirens. The vehicle eventually slowed down, but continued to travel about another 100 feet before stopping at the 2200 block of South College Avenue.
According to the police report, officers said Rios-Rivera appeared to be intoxicated. He admitted to drinking one beer and wore a wrist band from a local bar. Police located a 12 pack of Bud Light beer in the back seat of the vehicle. There were four beers left inside the box with one empty can. Officers also located a closed beer on the center console.
Rios-Rivera was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, License Required, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
