If you're in the market for a job, the soon-to-open Scott and White Hospital in College Station is looking for a few good men, and women.
Actually quite a bit more than a few. The new 165-million-dollar six-story hospital at Highway 6 and Rock Prairie Road will employ 250 people when it opens in August.
Hiring is underway, and Thursday Scott and White hosted a career fair at the College Station Hilton.
They're looking to fill healthcare positions, and have a lot of other openings as well.
Amy Turek graduated from college 10 months ago with a Mass Communications degree and is hoping to jump on board with Scott and White.
Turek says, "Well I've seen the Scott and White building going up for past several months and I knew it was going to bring a lot of jobs to the area, so I've been checking their website a lot and I just happened to see they were having a career fair, an advertisement on their website, decided to come and hopefully, it'll open some doors."
When Scott and White Hospital opens in about 5 months it will have 119 beds with the option of adding an additional 24 beds.
They have full and part-time openings in all departments.
