COLLEGE STATION – Ring Day is one of the most anticipated days in an Aggie’s life. For many, it is bigger than graduation.
Well, Friday will be a Texas-sized Ring Day. The Association of Former Students says this will be the largest ever.
From Noon to 8:00 p.m., more than 4,300 proud Aggies will pick up their Aggie Rings at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center.
To earn an Aggie Ring, students must meet the following requirements:
• 90 earned undergraduate/professional cumulative hours
• 45 earned undergraduate/professional resident hours
• 2.0 cumulative GPA
• Must not be on academic probation, suspension, dismissal, expulsion, or on honor violation probation from the university.
Among the more than 4,300 Aggies to earn their ring is Johnny Manziel.
But the Heisman Trophy winner will have to wait a few days to get his ring. Manziel is Augusta, Georgia to watch The Masters. A member of the Texas A&M football staff took a picture of Manziel's ring and sent it to him. Manziel then proudly shared it on Instagram.
