FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) - The judge in Pfc. Bradley Manning's court-martial says it was the "heedless nature" of his conduct that made it dangerous to others.
Army Col. Denise Lind's remarks were in a 10-page document released Friday explaining her legal rationale for finding Manning guilty last month on counts including espionage, theft and computer fraud.
She released the findings as the government rested in the sentencing phase of the trial. Closing arguments on sentencing are scheduled for Monday. Lind could sentence Manning as early as Tuesday.
Manning faces up to 90 years in prison for his offenses.
The soldier sent more than 700,000 military and diplomatic documents to anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks while working as an intelligence analyst in Iraq in 2010.
