A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been issued for Leon, Milam, and Robertson Counties until 1:00 am Sunday morning. A line of rain and thunderstorms will be possible between sunset and midnight -- moving in from the north & west. Some storms could be strong to severe. If these storms can reach the area, they could pose a localized flooding & damaging wind threat.
KBTX News 3 earned another Emmy Saturday night.
At the 10th annual Lone Star Emmy Awards at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, KBTX brought home the honor for outstanding evening newscast in a smaller market for its 10 at Ten broadcast on the night of damaging storms this past February.
Anchors Meredith Stancik and John Gilbert and that show's producer, Steve Fullhart, were listed on the entry.
News 3 was on the air throughout the night as the severe weather pushed through, and 10 at Ten featured reports from across the region as the damage was starting to be assessed.
This is the second Emmy in KBTX's history and the second for Stancik, who earned one last year for the "To Avery With Love" series along with Shane McAuliffe.
