COLLEGE STATION - Beginning Wednesday, May 21, the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will begin concrete paving operations at the SH 6 frontage road intersections of Rock Prairie Road. Lane closures are expected between May 21-23 and May 27-29. These daily lane closures will be used between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm and will not impact the morning or evening commutes.

TxDOT urges motorists who travel this area to watch for workers and construction equipment in the area and to expect some delays.

This $4.2 million construction project is contracted to Lone Star Road Construction, LTD and is scheduled to be completed by January of 2015. TxDOT and their contractor appreciate everyone’s patience during this construction.

Also beginning Wednesday, May 21, at 8:30 am, the westbound right lane of University Drive (FM 60) will be closed at Texas Avenue. This will allow the contractor for the Northpoint Crossing development to add a new turn lane on University Drive into the new development. This closure is scheduled to be in place for three weeks.

TxDOT urges motorists who travel this area to watch for workers and construction equipment in the area and to expect some delays.
