A Las Vegas man is recovering after surgery overnight.
Cameron Police say that he was shot at a park in Milam County.
Police say it happened sometime between 11:30 Wednesday night and 1:00 Thursday morning at OJ Thomas Park in Cameron.
Police say they found a large crowd in the park and 21-year-old Marion Cautrell Melton of Las Vegas laying in the street with a gunshot wound.
Police believe an argument had taken place and one individual pulled a gun and shot Melton.
He was taken to Scott and White where he is listed in critical condition.
Police say they do not have a suspect.
