LEON COUNTY- It's signing day and while a lot of seniors are deciding where to go and what to do, one Leon County teen has coaches and modeling agents clamoring for her attention.

Leon High School senior Morgan Sigford was working at a barbeque restaurant last summer when a modeling agent discovered the teenager and offered her a position as a professional model.

As if that wasn't enough, she was then offered a scholarship to Vernon College near Wichita Falls for a half ride scholarship, but when it looked like she was going to turn them down, they doubled their offer and told her they would pay her full way to school. They even offered to work with her modeling schedule so she could play volleyball and work with the modeling agency.

The college is paying for Sigford and her family to get the red carpet treatment in Vernon over the next two days as she officially signs with the school.

Leon High School art teacher, Gail Clute, said Sigford’s response to the good news was surprising: “When she talked about it she was really just matter of fact. ‘This is what's happening. I'm a little anxious about it, but it's not a big deal.’”

“It just all was like handed to me and I'm really grateful for that so it's a really special thing,” Sigford said.
