Leon County Sex Offender Arrested for Possessing Child Pornography

CENTERVILLE, LEON COUNTY A Centerville resident is facing felony charges after investigators found child pornography at his home.

The Cyber Crimes Unit with the Texas Attorney General's office discovered that 49-year-old Dave Wagley, III, illegally uploaded images of child pornography to the Internet. Wagley is a registered sex offender in Leon County. He was convicted in New York in 1999 for distributing child pornography.

On Thursday, officers with the AG's office searched Wagley's house and found multiple digital devices. One of the devices seized, a flash drive, had videos of children being sexually assaulted.

Wagley faces four third-degree felony counts for possessing child pornography. Each of those charges carry a punishment of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if found guilty. Wagley is in the Leon County Jail.
