COLLEGE STATION – A College Station teacher will start off the new school year with some new hardware.
Beth Bland was named Region VI Secondary Teacher Of The Year. Region VI includes 21,000 educators in 57 school districts across 15 counties.
“I hope my students have learned from me, whether it be US history, being nice to someone, or just some life skill that they need,” said Bland. “I feel like they teach me every year, too.“
Bland is an 8th grade history teacher at College Station Middle School, where she has taught for the past 15 years.
In May, Bland was named Secondary Teacher Of The Year for College Station ISD.
She is now in the running for Texas Secondary Teacher Of The Year.
