Local Residents Helping with Sandy Recovery Efforts

Residents from the Brazos Valley are in some of the areas hit hardest by Superstorm Sandy in New York.

They were appointed by Governor Rick Perry and are helping with recovery efforts.

Les Rogers is with the Texas A&M Forest Service in College Station.

He's with the Incident Management Team appointed by the governor.

The team will be in New York through January 17.

Friday morning he talked with News 3 via skype from New York.
