COLLEGE STATION A 14-year-old girl from College Station is back home after police say she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a 28-year-old Houston man she met online.

"In this world of social media, unfortunately there are predators out there who utilize these forums to prey on young and unsuspecting children," said Lt. Chuck Fleeger, College Station Police Department.

Police say Zachary Pierce Hocko, 28, picked the College Station teen up Friday and took her to a local hotel.

"They had apparently met through a variety of social media sites, and they had been conversing," said Fleeger.

The 14-year-old reportedly said she wanted to go home, but detectives say Hocko refused. Instead, he allegedly took her to his Houston apartment where investigators say he sexually assaulted her and took pictures or video with his cell phone.

The next morning, the Houston man reportedly dropped the 14-year-old off at a nearby restaurant, where she was finally able to call her parents for help.

Police say the girl was treated at the hospital, and she's now receiving counseling.

"We have a lot of friends. that are called friends on these sites, but it's very important for children and parents to communicate about who they should be talking to," said Fleeger.

Hocko was arrested by Houston Police Thursday morning and charged with aggravated kidnapping, sexual assault of a child, and improper photography/video recording.
