A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Lee county through this evening. Rain & thunderstorms will continue to be possible for the Brazos Valley, through the overnight hours. Severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out -- damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado threat will need to be monitored.

BRYAN - A ceremony was held at the Bryan Police Department this afternoon to honor Lieutenant Brian Kyle.
Kyle is retiring after serving the department for 28 and a half years.
After serving in the Army, he started with B-P-D as a patrol officer and was promoted to sergeant in 1992 and became a lieutenant a year later. Kyle finished his career in the Criminal Investigations Division.
"I'm proud to have been able to serve for the Bryan Police Department. We're here as a department to serve the public and I hope through the years I've instilled that in the officers I've supervised," Kyle said.
Kyle received his bachelor's degree at Texas A&M and his master's from Sam Houston State University.
